Complaints and the compliance hub

The records an inspector, a certifier or a worried customer will ask for, kept with the batch they’re about.

Find it More → Quality

Steps

  1. Go to More → Quality.
  2. Tap Log a complaint. Soap and body care makers see Log a customer reaction.
  3. Enter when it was Received, who reported it and how to reach them, the Product, and the Lot code from the label.
  4. Describe What happened. Tick whether they saw a doctor or needed medical care, and whether it’s serious.
  5. Tap Save. If the lot code is in Batchwell, the complaint links to that batch.
  6. As you look into it, add your assessment and move the status along: Open, Assessed, Reported to FDA, Closed. Tap Trace lot to see what else came from that batch.

Soap and body care: adverse events

For cosmetics, Batchwell keeps these as adverse event records. They’re kept for six years and can’t be deleted. A serious event shows the date its FDA report is due, 15 business days after you received it. Tap Mark reported today once you’ve filed it. Today warns you while one is due.

Retain samples

Finishing a batch keeps a retain sample by default. Quality lists them with their discard dates. Tap Discarded when you throw one out.

The compliance hub

  1. Go to More → Compliance.
  2. Under What makers like you need, browse the checklist for your kind of making: insurance, taxes, registrations, certifications and the rules that apply. Tap I have this or Add to my list.
  3. Under On file, open a record to add its number and dates, upload the certificate, and set Remind me (days before) it expires.
  4. Add anything else with Add insurance, Add a tax permit or filing, Add a registration or license, Add a certification or Add a trademark or agreement.
  5. Under Due, add filing and renewal tasks with a date and how often they repeat. Tap Done and the next one is scheduled.

Good to know

  • Texas makers see Texas and federal rules. Elsewhere, you see federal rules; check your state for its own.
  • Renewals coming up show at the top of Compliance. Tasks due in the next 30 days show on Today.
  • Marks you can print shows which logos your certifications allow, and only while they’re active.
  • With a cruelty-free brand, Leaping Bunny supplier readiness lists suppliers with stock on hand that haven’t signed.

The summaries are plain language, with a link to the official page. Rules change, so check the source before you rely on one. This isn’t legal or tax advice.
