Steps
- Go to More → Markets and tap Add market.
- Enter the Name, Date, Location, Starts and Ends times, Status and Booth fee ($). Tap Save.
- Open the market. What to bring shows Bring for each product (its par for this market) and how many to Make. Change any Bring number to suit this market.
- Tap Start beside a product to start the batch it needs, already sized. Several scents of one recipe? Tap Start split batch.
- Check the Pull list for materials you’re short of.
- After the market, enter what sold under After the market and tap Save sales. Units come off the oldest lot first, unless you pick the lot you brought. The market is marked Done.
- How it went shows what you sold, what you kept after the booth, fees and goods, and what that was per hour if you set the hours.
Packing list and reminders
Every market has a Packing list: the stock to bring, plus your usual list of booth gear, selling supplies, samples, paperwork and things for you. The first time, Batchwell starts you with a list (canopy and weights, card reader, cash box, sample spatulas, sales tax permit and more). Tap Edit usual list to add or remove things; your list carries over to every market. Add anything that only this market needs under Just for this market, then tick items off as you load the car.
Choose Remind me the morning of, the day before, 2 or 3 days before, or a week before. On that morning everyone in your workspace gets the packing list by email with anything not yet ticked, and your subscribed calendar shows an alert.
Bring markets in from your calendar
Export your calendar from Google, Apple or Outlook as an .ics file. On Markets, tap Import from calendar and choose the file. Tick the events that are markets, choose Add them as Confirmed or Applied, and tap Add. Ones already in Batchwell are unticked.
Keep your calendar up to date
Tap Subscribe, then Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Copy link for Outlook (in Outlook, choose Add calendar, then Subscribe from web). New markets and changed dates show up on their own; calendars check every few hours. Rather have a one-off file? Tap Export to calendar. On a market’s page, Add to Google Calendar and Apple / Outlook (.ics) add just that one.
Good to know
- The calendar link shows market names, dates, hours and places, never your notes or sales. Anyone with the link can see those. Make a new link stops the old one working.
- Before the market, To cover the booth shows about how many units pay for it, once you have market prices and costs.
- Once two or more markets have sales, Best markets ranks them by what they left you on average.
- Set the market fee under Sales channels → Markets & pop-ups.
- Booth fees count in Profit & loss. Don’t add them again as an expense.
