Count your shelves

Stock drifts: spills, tests, a scoop for a sample. A shelf count brings Batchwell back in line with what you actually have.

Find it Stock → Shelf count

Steps

  1. Open Shelf count from Stock, or More → Shelf count.
  2. Every open lot is listed by type. Use the filter to find one by name, lot code or supplier.
  3. Weigh or count what’s actually there and type it in, in the lot’s unit. Leave a lot blank to skip it.
  4. Each entry shows matches, or how far off it is.
  5. Tap Post, for example “Post 8 counts”. Differences post as count corrections.

Count one lot

Open the lot from its material, by scanning its bin tag, or with Search. Under Stock count, enter Counted on hand and a Reason, like spill or waste, and tap Record count.

Good to know

  • Found stock Batchwell thinks is used up? Tick Show lots Batchwell thinks are empty.
  • Lots counted at 0 drop off the sheet once their stock is gone.
  • Posting twice, or trying again after losing signal, won’t double an adjustment.
  • Quarantined lots are on the sheet too, marked quarantine.
  • Count on December 31 so the year-end inventory value on Taxes is exact.
